It’s a good dose of joy to see the commitment and the energy of every single person that has proposed to be part of securing and extending Pastor Ben Mugisa’s vision to the rest of the world. Even death could not and cannot stop the vision that God had laid on his heart. We now come together energized and strengthened by the spirit of God to begin painting the image that Pastor Ben carried in his heart of what was to be a vision of his life.
OUR STORY
In November 2020, Pastor Ben took off some time to fast and seek the Lord regarding his calling and purpose. God spoke to him through the book of Joshua 1:9. After that period of prayer and self-evaluation, he made a decision to begin a journey of personal growth and leadership development. He recognized that if he was to carry out the big vision God had laid on his heart, he needed to grow his leadership skills. At the beginning of 2021 Pastor Ben enrolled for a leadership course at Harvest Institute which was meant to bridge the personal leadership gap he had identified in his life.
In a two-page letter of what he hoped his journey to be, he noted his values and a personal board of three people that would hold him accountable regarding this 10-year journey. We were privileged to not only study this letter but get a glimpse of what he desired to do and achieve for the next 10 years of his life. As the journey to establish a foundation in his memory and extension of his vision, this letter will be a good compass to guide us along this voyage.
According to the document, his life purpose was to, “Awaken and inspire people to their God-given destinies.” And that shall be the vision of the foundation furthermore, guided by Pastor Ben’s values; the foundation will be operated under the values of, “Love, Honesty, Integrity and Commitment.” All this will be done under an annual mentorship camp the details of which the planning committee will spell out and share with the world.
We hope and believe that The Ben Mugisa Foundation will carry Pastor Ben’s Vision beyond the 10 years that he documented. Our faith is that the foundation will grow into a mentorship space that will birth a global movement of followers of Jesus Christ that are awakened to their divine purpose and living out their God-given destinies. As Pastor Ben, perfectly pointed out, “quitters are not winners” strengthened by God’s abundant grace, we will not stop until his desire to unlock people’s God-given destinies is evident through The Ben Mugisa Foundation.
The Ben Mugisha Foundation will also aim to assist the less unfortunate children, youth and women of Uganda with high reverence to orphans, widows and . The Foundation will continue to share the love with the disadvantaged that Pastor Ben shared with everyone he crossed paths with.
On 6th September, 2021, Ben Mugisa’s friends came together to pray and lift Ben before the Lord. they trusted God for healing and we all believed that the cancer was going. The good news is that when it clocked 3:00am in the morning, Ben was in a better place. the friends who stood with him in prayer and finances agreed to channel that support into something beautiful, something sustainable so that Ben’s legacy can live on.
